A Casket Chiller Unit comprising a part-glazed casket lid and a low-noise thermostatic refrigeration unit powered from a domestic 13A outlet.

The universal fit is designed to accommodate all casket types and is very simple to use. It is finished in oak veneer to complement typical casket finishes, and has a large viewing pane.

Casket Chiller Unit available for hire for a single fee.

Assembly Guide 

  1. Place Casket Lid on lower two-thirds (foot end) of casket
  2. Carefully remove Vision Panel from its transit case and place on head end of casket
  3. Before lifting the Chiller Unit, orient the Unit so that the fan will be towards the foot end of the casket and remove the access lid
  4. Between two people, lift the Chiller Unit onto the Casket Lid and ensure it seats into the padded rebate
  5. Uncoil the power lead and run through the two cutouts towards the foot end of the casket
  6. Plug into a 13A outlet and switch on the power
  7. Check the unit starts to run. No adjustment should be necessary, it will regulate itself to achieve the optimal temperature

CAUTION: This is a heavy item – please ensure there are two people available to lift this.

Q: Can I get this in the boot of my car?
A: The Chiller will usually fit into the boot of a standard estate car or people-carrier.

Q: Is it noisy when it’s running?
A: No, there is a gentle hum from the compressor, and the fan is quiet.

Q: Can I lift it on my own?
A: Please don’t try. It is quite heavy, but it’s also very awkward to lift. Always lift the unit between two people.
